Out of the dark sky a green light appeared stopped and shot across the sky towards the G.W.Bridge

It was Sat 0505hrs when I was on patrol when I looked up at the sky, it was still dark when a green light came out of the darkness stopped and shot across the sky towards the G.W.Bridge. I don't think it was a light aircraft or chopper. I worked around F-4's and other military aircraft and have seen combat. I don't ever recall any rocket, shell or any weapon that moved across the sky at that speed.
