Bright White Light appeared in night sky, then got brighter, with a blue hue and appeared as if passing thru a light cloud layer.

Naval Weapons Station Facing the South, toward Charleston, directly below Mars, a bright, white light appeared in the night sky around 2115.

Initially, I thought it was an aircraft landing light, since it had the brightness of an aircraft landing light.

Then it got much brighter and was a bluish, white, and appeared as though it was passing thru a light cloud layer, since there were scattered light clouds in the area.

After only a few seconds it went completely dark. I initially assumed it was an aircraft, since it was so close to Charleston AFB.

I kept looking for the navigation and anti collision lights but there were none. I then got up to stand and view more of the sky, but never heard an aircraft engine, and never saw any other lights in the sky in that area, other than additional stars.
