Red round light bouncing around the sky quickly

For a 4 minute period there was a round red light that was maneuvering back and forth and up and down quickly in the sky. At first I wondered if it was a helicopter but then realized it wasn't because of the maneuvers it was making in the sky. It went behind the trees and would come back out into sight. It moved very quickly around spuratically in one area of the sky towards the west.
