Flying object that just vanished mysteriously.

The object was standing still, in the air. Like 5 meters over the roof, at the entrance in to our house. I was like 9 years old the. But I remember it like it was yesterday.

The flying object was just "floating" still in the air over our entrance to our yard and house.

It was a triangle shape. Like a capital A in shape, with lights around it. It was hovering there for a while. Finally it started to move slowly. Further down the street. I was following.

The I could see it going all the way down to the bigger Main Street.... went faster and faster. But when it came to the Main Street it just vanished. Like totally gone. And with that size of the UFO it wouldn't be logic because you would see a normal car from that distance.... crossing the street and even further.
