Saw unknown object before dusk

My friend and I were out riding bikes before dinner and suddenly a large object in the sky started following us. The light that shined on us was blinding. It flew low, but above the tree tops. When we turned a sharp turn, it followed suit. We heard no noise at all. We were so scared and peddled home as fast as we could. It followed us the whole way home. We ran inside and got my friend’s mom. She came out and it was gone. She called the weather center to see if any weather balloons were in the area and none were reported.
