I saw a white circle suddenly appear and then disappear.

I was out smoking on my patio when I saw a white, circular object appear and then disappear. This was not anything that I have seen in person. The object was unidentifiable to me. I live close to O'hare Airport (ORD) and a regional airport. I didn't have any equipment with me and there is no recording of it.
