We both saw it up above us about what seemed like 3 mikes

My friend and I had just left a boring Christmas party. We drove slowly because we were in a model a Ford hot tod that didn't have heat nor windows to roll up. All of the sudden out of the west came a triangle shaped bright green light going real fast then stopping on a dime. It hovered without making a sound. We thought it was looking at us because we were the only car on the road at that time. It stayed there for what seemed like 10 minutes then took off at a blazing speed. We both looked at each other and said at the same time, "did you see that?". I've never been the same since. I looked in the local paper for months to see I'd anyone else reported it to no avail.
