Saw a large dark chevron craft pass overhead silently from east to west, headed toward the ocean coastline.

I could not sleep, so I went outside to bring in wood for the fireplace. It was a very quiet night. I looked up to admire the stars and saw a large, dark chevron shaped craft without lights, pass from east to west headed toward the coast. It was completely silent. It blotted out the stars as it passed beneath them. I thought at the time that if I hadn't looked up, I would not have known it passed over.
