u.f.o. darts away from path of approaching aircraft.

while standing on back porch of work site and looking to the west ,over Edwardsville, I noticed a jet (estimated altitude of 25,000 feet)headed eastbound passing through a wisp of clouds and at the same time noticed a small silver oval disc that seemed to shoot out of the cloud as the jet approached . the silver disc shot off straight up at rapid speed straight up and disappeared..
