Cigar, bright light, I-395 CT, Dec 20, 2003

It was around 4:30 pm and we were driving down I-395 South in CT around exit 97. It was pretty cloudy when we saw a very very bright white light in the sky. It was right above the highway. We were able to determine that it was not a jet but had a long cigar like shape (as we drove below it and looked up), there seemed to be a blue light on each side that flashed. There was a glow around the entire object and lights emitting from all sides of it. We were dumbfounded and continued driving.
