Looking for Leonid meteors saw triangle lights fly overhead

I was in my backyard hoping to catch a view of the Leonid meteor shower. From the east I saw a bright light heading toward me to the west. I noticed that it was 3 lights in the shape of a triangle, not a meteor, and moving too fast and too high to be a plane. It passed directly overhead and I lost it as it passed over the house.
