Formation of moving lights over Manhattan

Don't know if this was a UFO, but here it is: Over Manhattan: I saw a group of lights. If it was daylight and they were not illuminated I would guess it was a flock of geese. It appeared like a typical formation of birds, but the shape changed as it moved across the sky. At times it looked more like a string of illuminated pearls. Maybe it was just geese catching the lights from Manhattan. I'd never seen anything like it before. I watched it for about a minute. Then it was just gone. Any guesses as to what I might have seen?
