a cloud that eminiated the colours of the rainbow but was circular

in the south west around 22:30 there was a cloud appeared. This cloud had all the colours of the rainbow in it...as we continued to drive and watch, the colours changed to yellow red and orange, there was a centre to this and it seemed to travel in the cloud, and left a tail in the cloud like a comet
