Characteristics: Lights on object, Aura or haze around object, Changed Colo

I saw a bright odd-shaped star through my bedroom window facing southeast in a valley toward the coast of Camden, Maine (about 22 miles away). It caught my attention because it was birghter than any other star around - on a very clear night. It was also "twinkling with dots of colored light pulsing slightly down to the right and left sides that would often for a flat triangle shape which had the top of the triangle as the center (mountain shape vs. V-shape. The colors I saw in order of most ocurrence where green, red, blue. I got an amateur pair of binoculars and stared for a while but couldnot see detail. I looked at the other stars around the bright spot, and there where many, and they were all fuzzy and seemed much farther away than this pulsing star. It was the color moving it "dots" away fromt he center thatfascinated me the most. After about 30 minutes I went to bed. The bright spot had shifted out of the window pane to the south slowly.
