red and blue strobe lights circling the ufo

We were sitting at my patio using binoculars to look at the stars close up. and saw out of nowhere a disk shape object floating diaganaly towards the ground. it had red and blue swirling lights around sides but wasnt on fire. couldnt tell exact color of the ship.
