Strange object sighted in wester sky.

My daughter was driving north on NJ Rte 208 in the vicinity of Maple Ave. She took three photos of the dark object through the driver's side window with her phone camera. There appears to be a bright flash surrounding the object. I have two of photos and will send them to you if you wish to have them. The following day a co-worker who was in New Jersey told her that he witnessed the same object in the sky.
