white light traveling horizontally, sped up very fast and then disappeared.

I was driving on Edwards Mill Rd, toward Duraleigh Rd., and I saw a white light traveling L to R horizontally across the sky. I thought it might be an airplane but it began to move very very fast and then disappeared. It all happened within less than a minute.
