UFO hovers off of mile marker 129 (Interstate 25) in Colorado Springs??

We were headed south on I-25 towards Pueblo, CO when at approximately 9:30 PM I saw a bright light ahead of our vehicle in the distance. Assuming it was a low flying airplane or a helicopter with the bright search light on, I watched without much thought or concern. After about 5 minutes passed I realized that the object had not moved and we were getting closer to it. As we got near, the one light from the distance became two distinct lights with a couple red lights in between. Again reminding me of a plane, however, this object was still stationary. We actually passed the object at around mile marker 129 (it was to the east of the interstate) and at this point we could make out the three bright white lights in a triangle shape. The object NEVER moved. I also noticed some blinking coming from on top of the craft, I could make out two brighter white lights that would blink up high and one of the red lights blink below. The craft made no sound and continued to hover as it got smaller in the distance of us driving away. In total, I watched the object for about 15 to 20 minutes. This length of time rules out the possibility of it being a low flying airplane because that would have come and gone in minutes. The helicopter is the only logical explanation, but that doesn’t explain the silence nor the triangle shape of the lights (and I could be wrong, but I thought they could not hover in one spot for too long of a time). Furthermore, I have seen many helicopters growing up in Colorado next to all the airports and air force base and I’ve never seen one stay perfectly still for as long as this did.
