We have 2 dogs that were barking and woke me up. I opened the door to let them out. One of them went out the other did not. I watched out the window of the bedroom to the north. It was a dark night. There was a light in the field. I thought, oh, heat lightening, but it wasn’t. The light moved across the field toward the house tipping back and forth. It was a circular shape and very graceful and at the time I thought how beautiful and peaceful it looked. It was definitely round in shape. It came up the previous night’s campfire. There was a column of light coming from the bottom that shone on the field and the campfire pit. The embers lit up like a bellows had blown on it turning bright red for just a couple seconds. There were lights around the edge of the circular shape. I tried to wake up my husband but he wouldn’t wake up. I wanted to tell him what I saw. I had nothing to drink. I was sober and awake. I let the dog back inside. Later my husband was crying out in his sleep as if struggling. I woke him up with difficulty. He didn’t tell me what was wrong. In the morning I told my relatives who were visiting that I saw a UFO. Later my husband came out and told us his dream about having to fix something underneath the craft and that a being was threatening him to fix it NOW! He was frightened because he had messed up the threads on the item he was screwing back into the craft. He hadn’t heard my story yet about seeing the UFO. After seeing it I wrote down a summary of what I saw and some of the thoughts that I had during the time after seeing it. I was thinking that maybe our eyes couldn’t always see them. There was no fear. They seemed curious and graceful. It was soundless. Possibly heat seeking – the fire pit was warm. Why did they come from the woods and field? The reason I could see them was I just woke up and was in an open frame of mind.
