| Bright light over Lake Ontario blazing through the early morning sky. This morning I woke up and went outside to have a cigarette. While standing on the back deck of the house I noticed what first appeared to be a bright star in the north western part of the sky, maybe fifteen degrees from the horizon. This places it over Lake Ontario. The light was a white-yellow, slightly larger than the visible stars at the time. It moved at a constant, blazing speed, from northwest to south. It appeared too far out in space to be a satellite and traveled too fast. The object did not burn up or gravitate towards earth, but continued in a straight line through space. In about forty-five seconds it had covered the entire horizon and faded away. I've never seen a satellite behave in such a fashion and if anyone else noticed this event, I'd love to hear your thoughts. |
