Bright light seen streaking across suburban Chicago sky.

At approximately 1:40 a.m., we witnessed a bright white light that streaked from east to west across the sky over Worth, Illinois. It did not appear to be a meteor, and seemed to be inside our own atmosphere. The actual craft or object disappeared in about a second, but left a trail (much like a jet-stream) that took several seconds to fade away. The stream did not stretch for the entire length that the object traveled, but only about a quarter of it. The stream also appeared to glow a bit, like the tail of a comet. The entire duration of the sighting, from first sight until the stream faded away, was about ten seconds.
