Red and yellow disk-like object seen in SW sky from Bouse, Arizona.

From Bouse, Arizona, on 9/16/2010 about 8:00pm. I and my family (5 in all) witnessed seeing a disk like object in the Southwest sky quarter way up and above the mountains between Ehrenberg Arizona and Blythe California. We are in a valley rimmed by high desert mountains, so we have very clear night time astronomical viewing. This was not a military jet, blimp, planet or star.

The moon had not come up yet so our desert skies were very clear and dark. The object was in the direction of the old JPL Labs site (closed) in that area. My husband saw it first and called me out to look. I called the rest of the family to witness and brought out my 7x50 binoculars to see it better. Through the binoculars, we could see it was disk shaped, red rimmed with two bright yellow glowing lights. After about 15-20 minutes, it disappeared. A colored drawing of what we saw has been sent. Shortly after, I saw three blinking lights moving into the same area from slower moving military aircraft. From past experience from seeing such blinking lights, I believe these were military helicopters.

It appeared again 9/17/2010 in the same general area in the sky but higher up.
