UFO impersonating a large jet aircraft, but had abnormal contrail appearance.

On Monday 12/13/10 in the time period between 6:45 and 6:55 AM I was riding on Los Angeles Metro Bus Route #14 eastbound on Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles, CA. This route at that point goes straight east. In the sky east-north-east about 15 degrees from true east was a type of UFO seen before in the desert of Eastern Oregon. The craft was impersonating a jet aircraft, but the contrail was short, stubby, too wide, and too dense to be a real jet contrail. The rising Sun was reflecting off the object, and creating an opalescent/rainbow sheen that real contrails don't have. The craft was barely moving at all against the morning sky. Later the whole thing seemed solid, like the edge of a huge disk.
