|orange-red fireball falling from sky in Morris (Okmulgee Co.) OK
On 12-24-2010 at approximately 6:00pm, while driving North on US52 from Morris, OK, near Gun-Club road. My wife, 2 children, and I observed to the West an orange to red fireball falling from the sky. As it got closer, you could see smoke plumes trailing but it had no tail. When it approached the ground at an assumed distance of less than 2 miles, you could see the light reflecting off of the tree line. The fireball appeared to make impact as it fell behind the tree line. We drove around for 45 minutes to 1 hour searching for it to no avail.
