| softball sized object spotted rapidly circling electrical pole wires then shooting off almost instantly. I was in the Canadian Forces, I have better then 20/20 vision, am university educated and considered a very credible and stable individual among family and friends. I was walking home from work on Carleton street in Saint Catharines after my shift. I was listening to music and it was very cold outside, there was no one around although this is in a populated subdivision. I spotted very clearly across the street on the wires connecting electrical poles a small spherical object rapidly circling the wires; like in tetherball when the ball wraps around the pole. The object circled the wires for a few seconds as I stood watching trying to figure what it was, then all of a sudden it shot off almost instantaneously literally right past my head maybe a metre or two. I stood stunned on the sidewalk, before I could think it shot past again a little farther in front of me. I immediately called my good friend and shunned it off. The ball was the size of a grapefruit or softball, it had a light brown orange tinge to it, I dont know why its behaviour attracted it to the electrical wires or why it shot off while I was watching it circle the electrical ! wires. The object could have left a trail or haze but it could also be just from the speed. |
