Bluish white egg shaprd light falling from sky

Saw a bright blueish -white light falling from sky that was egg shaped. Was falling fairily fast like a shootingstar. Fell into neighborhood but never came back up. Could possibly be meteor but was pretty big in size and was egg shaped.
