Strange flash in the sky

Bright flash that lighted all the area around us. The type of light looked very similar to the one that equipped in some of the new cars (HID). The source of the light was round spot about the half size of the moon in radius. The sky was almost clear with several small clouds around. (Didn't pay attention to the time, approx happened between 19:30-20:30)
