|Object spotted in the sky in Dutchess County, NY
I was driving to work and heading west on Route 44 towards Poughkeepsie. I looked up in the sky and noticed what I first assumed to be a plane. I am skeptical by nature, so I tried to figure out what I was looking at before I jumped to conclusions.
Something struck me as odd as I studied it, and it was then that I noticed that there were lights covering the entire length of the object and that I had never seen a plane with so many on it. Most of the lights were of the white variety, save for one blue one. They were steady at first, but then the blue one and one of the white ones flashed on and off twice. Then they went back to being steady for the remainder of the time. In all of my life, I have never seen any type of aircraft with that many lights on at once.
The object was flat-oval in shape and looked to be about an inch long in the sky. I continued driving while trying to keep it in my scope of vision. When the road turned, it was now in the north-west sky. Then it vanished. There were no buildings or trees to block the view, only open sky.
In any event, whether or not it was really a UFO, I'm not an expert. All I can say is that it was unlike anything that I've ever seen, and prompted this email to you. If you would like to speak with me about it, I am more than happy to relay this information to one of your investigators.
