Orange lights traveling slowly across sky fade out and diminish in size

Bright orange light, oval shaped traveling east to west slowly across the sky, fades out followed by second orange light fades to small.

Observed by science teacher and friend.

Too slow and projectory wrong to be meteor, could not be airplane either due to constant color.
