|Red glowing pulsing sphere stopping in flight and hovering over Hertford, England
I was sitting upstairs on my computer and looking out the window to the night sky. There must have been a low mist because only the main bright stars could be seen. On the lower horizon there were none. I looked up and could easily make out the constellation of Orion. Several planes, as always could be seen flashing their lights and coming in to land at London Stanstead Airport, mostly heading east. Some could also be seen climbing on departure in the distance as single flashing lights obscured by the slight ground mist that obviously obscured all distant horizon vision.
I was day dreaming and looking at Orion relaxing my eyes from the computer in the dark wondering about its connection with the pyramids when I saw a large flame-red slow pulsing disc coming out of Orion the Hunter. When I say coming out, I mean that I first noticed it as it passed my view of Orion which was partially obscured and edged by my window frame. For a second or two I thought I was imagining it. The whole of the disc glowed flame red. It was not a light as seen on a plane but a whole object that pulsed red from within. Maybe it would be better to say that it throbbed with intensity from bright to very bright every two seconds. It had clear definable edges. Although in the middle there seemed to be a horizontal thin bright white line at times. It was heading east. About the same speed as the occasional incoming planes were in the near distance. I shouted out at the top of my voice to my colleague who was feeding the dog downstairs. The door was shut in the upstairs o! ffice but I did not want to take my eyes of it for a second to even open the door to call downstairs. So I shouted again seriously loud. The dog barked and I could hear him rushing up the stairs. “Look at fxxxing that!” I said as he entered the room. He was in time to see it moving just before it came to a sudden halt. I tried to open the window as it was double glazed as I wanted to see it without obstruction. It was locked, so I rushed into my bedroom and flung open my window there. John and I watched it stationary for over a full minute as it pulsed and hung in the sky just above the opposite roof top of the adjacent house. Not that it was above it per se, but maybe six or eight hundred yards away, maybe a lot more. I measured it as ¾ of an inch twixt thumb and forefinger at arm’s length. It never budged an inch from its position but was gradually fading and losing intensity of colour, eventually becoming a reddish brown. Also it was becoming smaller as if heading away a! t a perfect angle to us. It slowly shrunk and faded out of exi! stence t o a miniscule point.
We walked out of the room and as he went downstairs to draw what he saw I said hopefully, “Where are you going it might come back.” To my great surprise it did! In the time of walking from one room to the other it was repeating its movements. I saw it in the sky away from Orion as soon as I looked out of the window and it came on in, on a slightly different route. It halted again and hung in the air virtually in the same area. But before it faded out completely it lowered out of vision beyond the neighbour’s rooftop.
