|I wittnessed a very large, bright, white light which appeared in the night sky, remained for 30 seconds, then dimmed and exstinguished
I was driving home from work, headed from Wilkes Barre, Pa, towards Slocum Township, on interstate 81 South. My vehicle was driving approximately past mile marker 162, at around 9:32pm when I first caught glimpse of the UFO, just above the tree line. There were no clouds in the sky so it was instantly noticeable. It was a very large, very bright, white light, roughly three to four times the size of the surrounding stars in the sky. It did not appear to be moving. It was not blinking and was far, far too large and bright to be an airplane or helicopter. Airplanes fly over this stretch of highway all the time, I see them every night, but I've never seen anything like this bright light.
There were also four other vehicles in front of me, that I could see, who applied their brakes and slowed down, I assumed to get a better look at the light, the same way I did. The light stayed stationary for roughly 30 seconds before it suddenly dimmed drastically and decreased in size, to a size and dimness that would have made it indistinguishable from the surrounding stars if I hadn't already been watching it. Another ten seconds or so passed when the light suddenly went out, as if turned off by a light switch. I tried to continue to search the sky for it, in case it reappeared, however it did not. Once I reached my home and parked my car, I searched the sky once more but saw nothing.
