one howering craft splits in to two and flyes away

Me and my friend where at his backyard, when we saw a really unusual craft-ligh howeng ove the woods about 5 miles away,it was there for about 5 minutes it was going up and down in range of 100meters ij the air, then afer 5 minutes it splited in two two crafts, one flew very fast to the left , the second one howered on he same place for one more minue and then landed in the woods
