pulsating ball of light WNW sky of Weeki Wachee (Spring Hill)Florida

At approximately 9:28 pm 6/16/12 I went outside to look for the Hubble scheduled passing between 9:36 to 9:41 in the WSW sky @ 60degrees. I immediately saw a large stationary bright light in the WNW sky. I initially thought it was a police helicopter search light pointed directly in my direction, then realized there was no sound at all.

Then thought it was a local shooting fireworks but there was no explosion. I called for my wife to see. She came out immediately and we thought it was a flare on a small parachute as it was pulsating and seemed to glow between red and orange, moving slowly to the SW. I said to her, "There is no wind." as we have a small weather station with an anemometer, it was not moving.

The light did not lose altitude and maintained about a 45 degree angle then began to get smaller and turned to the west maintaining the same altitude. We watched it for about 2 minutes as it got smaller and it appeared to be moving west out over the Gulf of Mexico from our position until it eventually disappeared. The entire sighting lasted about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. My wife describes the light as a fireball type of light, where I would say a pulsating ball of light.
