Yellow-orange light seen 30 seconds and then it powered down and disappeared completly and then powered back on.

Last night, Monday August 27 at 8:25 pm I had a sighting here in San Diego, California. I was about 2 miles southeast of the intersection of Interstate freeways 5 and 8. This sighting started out with a solid yellow-orange light coming towards me from the north towards the south. I was looking north. There were no collision lights like a normal plane or jet would have. Many jets and planes are seen down here as this area is along the landing path for the San Diego airport. Jets that are flying south will head south along the 5 freeway and then turn east over the 8 freeway in preparation of landing at the San Diego airport. I am very familiar with seeing these jets and planes. And these aircraft have collision lights, and in this sighting, there were no collision lights on this yellow-orange light. Anyway, this yellow-orange light was moving slowing towards me. It was almost as large as the front light seen on an approaching jet, which is larger tha! n a star in the sky. After viewing this Yellow-orange light for about 30 seconds, it slowing turned off. Nothing. I kept watching the area where the light had disappeared and about 2 minutes later, but much higher in the sky, the light, or a light, powered back on and quickly flew west to east. This time, the light was mostly white, but looked a duller color than the stars. It was not moving slowly, but faster than a jet would move at that higher elevation. I lost track of it after about 30 seconds as it was too far away. Then about 15 to 20 minutes later, maybe about 8:45pm, I saw a white light power-up directly north of me again; but this time lower than the first 2 lights described above. This last time the light was as low as the jets coming in for their landing descent. The light was not directly in the jets path, but somewhat more north. It was slowing moving south to north and slow. I did not see this last light very long, maybe 15 seconds and then it slow! ly turned off or powered down. I say powered down, because th! at's the impression I got when I saw it turn off. Again, no collision lights. It was just gone. I don't know if this was 1 craft or 2 or 3 separate crafts. I did not hear any noise. I should have heard something, at least for the last light since it was closer, but I did not.
