|Fast moving fireball.
At Ainsdale, Southport my wife and I saw a red fireball in the sky, approx. 1000-2000ft high. It was travelling fairly fast for about a minute from East to West. It was not in the form of any vessel, but as a fireball. My wife brought my attention to it and both of us were witnesses. She saw it appear, both saw it travel and vanish for about 65 secs. The cloud cover was 100% and it was raining all day long and at this time also. As I had my camera with me I took two photos which show clearly what looked like a red fireball. I thought it might be Chinese lanterns, but doubt came into my mind because of the heavy rainfall at the time and the velocity of the ball.
