|orangy moonlike sphere, silent, stationary, 11pm rt7a sunderland vt. 30 second viewing.
went to sons log cabin in arlington vt. to visit grandkids, watched hockey game, left at 10:45 at 11pm driving on dark rt 7a no traffic i noticed glow on road ahead through trees. looked and said thats no moon to myself. stopped and looked at large orangy sphere stationary and glowing on me. moved about 10 ft and again looked at for about 10 seconds. then moved a little more and observed was going off road with no shoulder so went to pull back on road and the glow and sphere disappeared. no cell phone was in motel charging because no reception in mountain area there. excited i told wife. looked for any moon around again but nothing. went to police in morning and called newspaper and the nearest motel to see if anyone may have seen but nothing> went to my sons cabin in morn. on computer saw that there was no moon. i have had this in my head since and was upset for a while because i spoke to hayden planetarium director and vanderbilt planetarium director and mu! fon but u come to a deadend and its depressing to know what u saw was real. i been to many hot air baloon festivals and been outdoors all my life and lived in mountains for years. this was large orange sphere with a little milky cloudlike nucleus portion. no movement appprox 1/2 mile and hard to judge the actual size but appeared moonlike probable about 500-700 ft high.no sound
