|Eight fireballs in the sky
My son and I were outside sitting at our fireplace, he was facing north when he said "those planes? look like they're too close together". I turned around and we saw four orange-red fire balls at first flying across, from west to east. They were flying in a straight line, then two went up and the other two went beneath and they formed like a square. As we continued to watch shortly after there were three more and they flew toward the other four and they were all just hovering.
A helicopter came to investigate and as it got closer it started to rise toward the fireballs. The first four at that time just dimmed out. The helicopter turned toward the other three and went forward a bit. The other three dimmed out as well. Then we noticed another fireball about twice the size of the first seven coming from the west toward the helicopter. At this time the helicopter turned to the east and left. The larger fire ball slowed and began to move north bound and just zipped out of sight.
About 3 min. later my son and I heard some loud pops and two flares were shot in the direction were all the activity had been happening. At no time did these fireballs make any sound that we could hear. We live in the path where commercial airplanes pass on a regular basis, on their way to the airport. These were not airplanes!
