|Bright Red/Orange Fireball in North Tacoma moving very fast and smooth from North to South
My fiance was sitting on our back deck at around 8:45pm looking north at the sky. It was dark, there was no wind and it was a completely clear sky. He called for me to grab my phone and come out to the deck to 'take a look at something'.
When I got on the deck I witnessed a red/orange fireball in the sky moving very fast and smooth towards us (Southbound). The object never changed speed, never change direction and never changed color or brightness. The object was moving faster than a commercial plane and was very set in its course.
After it passed over us, we noticed some type of debris falling from its path in the sky. Due to the darkness it was very hard to see detail, but the falling object was round or ovoid in shape and was falling at a fairly slow, smooth pace.
I was able to get 15-20 seconds of video of the fireball with my iPhone which does a great job representing speed, shape, brightness, path, as well as the conditions of the evening.
This is DEFINITELY something I have never seen before!
