Five orange lights moving across the sky.

A little before 21:00 hours we were at the furthest most western portion of Oak Island, NC looking for the International Space Station. We noticed to the South there was an orange light moving horizontally east to west across the sky. It seemed like it was close and was moving at a slow, steady speed to the west. Once it disappeared after about 30 seconds another one appeared just to the east and followed the same path. Again it lasted about 30 seconds before disappearing. We saw 3 more lights that followed the same pattern and none made any sound. We could tell they were not airplanes because there was no flashing lights or sound.
