The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed it was a military aircraft, however, neither Aberdeen Proving Ground nor Dover Air Force Base recognized the craft.

Just after 9 p.m., several people reported seeing an odd light pattern suddenly appear in the night sky. One of them was 17-year-old Casey Lee.
