Orange light above trees

While standing on my porch facing roughly WSW, I observed an orange ball of light, no noise was percieved, distance hard to judge as it was just above tree line, and ducked below the tree line a few times, and initially I thought it was someone playing with one of those drones with the 4 motors on the corners because it did seem to waiver and bob about in the same manner at times. It was spproximately the same color orange as the orange bar of a Seagate Free Agent external disk drive. I am not positive on the date or the time, because I initially brushed it off as a drone, but listening to the other reports that Peter Davenport was talking about on Coast to Coast got me to rethink that.

Additionally, Venus was still visible at the time- different color, so there was no chance of mistaking the light observed as Venus, but the object was comparable in magnitude. It had no other lights, and 2 small aircraft were in the area during the time of the observation as well, and they were audible.

I used the roof peak of my chicken coop as a reference point to make sure the item was indeed in motion, and it was. Over the course of time I observed the item, it only seemed to move about within an arc of about 5 to 10 degrees horizontally. It did finally appear to descend below tree line quickly when the second small aircraft entered the area, which at the time seemed to suggest this was a drone, but at the angle I was observing it from, a horizontal flight of adequate velocity directly away from my vantage point would also appear as descent in a vertical direction as well.
