|Three large orange lights in a row
On the evening of 12/03/13 I was 1/3 mile up the paved tram road in Sabino Canyon located on the edge of NE Tucson at 20:00. I saw a sudden flash of 2 large orange lights over west Tucson and then a minute later I saw them again.
A couple of minutes later I looked to where the western edge of the Catalina Mtns meets the edge of NW Tucson which was about 25 miles from my position and I saw a large, bright orange light suddenly "turn on" similar to a light switch being turned on. A half second later another on came on just a short distance in the sky to the left of the first and then a third all staying on at the same time and in a straight line. They were just above the horizon line but clearly in the sky.
The lights were about 5 times the size of Venus in the night sky and were not emitting the star burst glare of a plane headlight but were more self contained and laser precision. From seeing videos of the Phoenix Lights incident from the 1990's these lights turned on in progression similar to those. I saw them for no more than a couple of seconds and then they all "switched off" at the same time.
