|After dark, object at extreme altitude, flashing in response to spotlight, changing course, blacking out-then back on.
Night Sighting. Occulting White/Slight Amber 7:02 PM Alaska Standard Time Ward Cove, AK 99928 (approx. 5 miles WNW of Ketchikan, AK)
Diamond shaped object approached out of the Southwest, low on horizon, in an extremely clear and dark night sky (even with setting crescent moon) Object appeared after several flashes by myself, toward a general area of the sky with a hand-held, million+ candle power halogen spotlight.
Object was moving at a very high speed, but deliberately changed course at least 3 times, also at very high speed.
Object also dimmed out and became bright again, as if responding to spotlight.
Object was amongst the star field, yet seemed slightly lower. Object also pulsed a yellowish-white when signaling back to my spotlight.
Object ended up on a northerly heading, blacking out before dipping below horizon.
Object was not an aircraft, nor a satellite, or the ISS. The turning performance would have created excessive g-forces on a man-made craft.
