|10+ small, white lights--like stars in the day--were twinkling and fading in and out of view, in a formation circling around each other
My mother and I were out walking around 6:30pm when I happened to look up at the sky and noticed what I thought was a plane flying overhead. I remember it was daylight and I was looking up towards the moon—to the “left” side of the moon or the more eastern side next to the moon in the sky—and noticed not one, but then several lights circling overhead around each other.
They were small, white lights twinkling brightly like stars and then fading out of view.
I soon realized there were many of them—at least 10 that I could tell, but possibly more—and I asked my mom if she could see them too, and she agreed.
At first she thought they were birds flying way high up in the sky overhead but I have never seen birds act like that. They were definitely fading in and out of view and moving in very circular motions. I was thinking maybe there were some balloons released in the area into the sky?
Balloons could reflect the sun’s rays and would make a circular motion as described. However, I have never seen anything like that in my entire life.
They gradually kept moving more towards the left of the moon and then just faded out of view completely. I never saw them again after that.
The event that we witnessed lasted only about 1-3 minutes, but it could have possibly started before I looked up at the sky.
