|Multiple strange orange lights come and go
My husband and I were having a small campfire just after it got dark. I happened to look up a little after 9:30 pm because there were fire or some sort of emergency sirens going off close by.
Lower on the horizon I saw what looked like 5-6 fireballs in the sky. They were appearing and reappearing at random. I told my husband to take a look and the two of is watched them for almost half an hour. It was especially scary because of those fire sirens we were hearing.
We turned on the scanner and it ended up no being related. It just looked like balls of fire burning up, but they barely moved. They would get brighter then die out. I'm not sure of the same ones were getting bright, dying out then brightening again or if they were all separate objects. Airplanes were flying in the same general direction and they looked nothing like this.
There was no streaking across the sky like meteors. None of them shot up like fire works or anything. They were very far away, but you could tell they were very high in the sky and extremely bright. My husband and I both got on Twitter to see of we were the only ones seeing it. It was pretty visible.
We used our iPhones to determine it was toward the southeast from us. They were just over and under the tree line from our view at our house.
It was truly the most amazing unexplained thing I've ever seen.
All the lights were completely gone by 10:00 pm.
