Late in the evening, my family and I were walking the beach, when we noticed random orange lights appearing and then disappearing very quickly. Sometimes these lights were spread out and other times very very close and blinked in patterns. I'm aware that others noticed these lights as well and we're attempting to record them. An aircraft took off from the nearby airport as the lights were still visible and flew directly into the area of them and then immediately returned to the airport. We saw the lights a couple more times after that and then no more.
