|Unusually dark red stationary light in eastern sky with irregular green flashing light seen during fireworks
Watching fireworks, which had just begun. In the Eastern sky, about halfway in between horizon and zenith, an unusual red light showing small diameter. Light was unblinking, steady, very dark, rich, ruby red, different from any aircraft light I've ever seen. Had irregularly flashing green light which seemed towards the backside of the object, at about the 10 or 11 o'clock position.
Mostly stationary and noiseless, although the fireworks were loud, yet nothing heard during short lulls. It seemed to drift slowly towards the South and towards the horizon, although total distance was only a few degrees. Motion only noticed over time, it was too slow to actually see it moving. On a clock face, motion was in the 4 o'clock direction. Faded slightly during sighting.
I kept watching it, then the fireworks, sad I didn't have binoculars.
Fireworks finale began and I watched that. When that was over, I looked again and the object was completely gone.
