Large ball of light moving at a very fast rate fell at an angle to the ground

My sister and I were driving at 11:50 at night. To our right, we noticed a large ball of light, 2-3 times larger than a plane. It was falling at a very fast rate at an angle to the ground. It crashed/landed within the Mancheter City a few miles away from us.
