Figure floating in sky moves slowly in a straight line across the sky and changed shapes from a circle to cross then a line.

As we were standing out side a black floating object appeared to the east in the sky and began to slowly move to the south straight across. We looked through binoculars and it was changing shape from a circle to a cross figure and straight line.
