Orange/ Red sun like oval very bight below the clouds.

Saw a orange/red sun like flying over my house below the clouds. At first from a distance I thought it was a flair, but as it got closer it was huge. It looked like a small sun flying over my house no sound or trail behind it. I have been seeing lot's of smaller flying objects the same as this, but many of them at the same time for about a year now.

If you have any info on what this could have been please explain to me. not scared but in awww..
